If you are interested in a camcorder that is perfect for shooting outdoors, the Canon MVX10i is an option to consider. It is equipped with many top shelf features that are sure to make things easy on you when filming in any situation. There are some downfalls that also plague the MVX10i, but this is to be expected in every camcorder that hits the market.

First and foremost, for shooting outdoors the MVX10i outperforms the competition in every possible way. Not only are images as sharp as can be, but color quality is at the top of the spectrum as well. For consumers who spend the majority of their time outdoors, this model is the perfect choice.

Unfortunately, if you expect the MVX10i to perform just as well inside you are going to be in for a major disappointment. Just like most Canon models, when low light conditions arrive noisy images are not too far behind. The MVX10i does a great job in making low light conditions appear bright, but when the end result turns out you are sure to be disappointed. If Canon is ever going to be a major player in this industry they are going to have to improve on this area of performance.

A novice who is looking to get a camcorder that is easy to use will find that the MVX10i fits the bill. An easy to use interface and simple to understand shooting modes makes this model perfect for a beginner.

If you are looking for a camcorder to shoot short movies or still photos you should not buy the Canon MVX10i; unless you can do everything outdoors of course. The bottom line is that even though the MVX10i can perform well outdoors, when it comes to indoors or low light conditions it lags well behind the competition.
