Pros: I have this camcorder for over 4 years. Still create great HD videos every single time. There is no reason to do an upgrade since 32GB SDHC is plenty of room. SDXC with > 32GB is too big and high risk of memory corruption anyway.
Still one of the best in it's price range, if not THE best.

Summary: The quality of this camcorder is, in my view, the best of the camcorders that are: 1. Small pocket camcorders. 2. Under $700 street price. 3. Shoots HD to digital media. This camcorder have very good video that shoots to SD memory cards.
Summary: I have shot everything from action to near darkness with excellent results. The software that comes with it is horrible (ImageMixer3) but I use Cyberlink DVD Suite and it produces gorgeous videos that we watch on TV. It's easy to use and it fits in my handbag.
Summary: We bought this camcorder in 2/09, and have used it a total of 9 days/year since then. It developed a low-grade hum during the warranty period, which we thought we'd resolved with help from tech support. (Tech support was helpful, but nearly impossible to locate.
Summary: Nice camcorder, but it malfunctioned two years after purchase - even though it was used very little during that period of time. It began zooming in on its own without the operator touching the zoom control. Canon replaced the zoom control and charged a flat fee of $250 for the repair.
Summary: I've purchased this camera because I use my car at track day events and wanted a camera that I could mount to the inside of the car to shoot HD footage of high-performance driving offense that I attend.
