Summary: I wanted to use this camcorder for a few months before writing my review as that way I'd use it in variable conditions and would get to understand the functions. Overall, I'm very pleased with it - usability is good and the images are excellent except in low light conditions.
Summary: Being a Sony camcorder user I was interested in seeing how this Canon would stack up against my much loved HDR-CX130. For all intents and purposes both camcorders have a similar design and a similar feature set.
Summary: An extremely compact HD camcorder that gives excellent image quality with a more than acceptable sound stage considering the microphone placement. Unusually for a camera of this type it has slots for two SD cards - I fitted mine out with two 16G cards, enough for about 4 hours of HD recording!
Does the job - though poor in low-lighting conditions

Summary: Canon's HF R206 camcorder doesn't look so special when it comes to looks, but it does have a nice simple look to it, that said it's the perfect size for me and is extremely lightweight, making it very comfortable to use.
Summary: Worked more or less straight out of the box. Limited written instructions on how to get you going, the rest you have to find on the supplied CD - not always practical. I was impressed with the picture quality, but I'm less keen on the touch screen which is not very sensitive and therefore not as...
Summary: This is a light portable camera. It looks good and has a good range of features and its at a good price. It is almost identical to the R26 and R28 models. The R206 doesn't come with internal memory. But the price of a 32GB SD card is £40, whereas the R28 is £100 more! Doesn't add up.
