Canon LEGRIA HF M32 Full HD Camcorder review.

29 April 2011
  • Summary: Key to this camera’s success however, will be its compact size and ease of use. I carried it around in my trouser pocket (insert smutty innuendo here, if you must) so it certainly is portable. The quality of my footage is excellent with the only caveats around the wind noise when shooting outdoors and so overall, it's very good indeed.
  • Pros: HD video quality, Optical zoom lens, AF, Metering and exposure control, Handling, Compact styling.
  • Cons: Screen difficult to use in bright conditions, Touch sensitivity is not very sensitive, Built-in mic sound distortion when windy, Screen controls not as intuitive as they could be.

Canon Vixia HF M32

5 January 2011
  • Excerpt: (1 items) A healthy meal should ideally supply nutrition and taste good enough to make eating a pleasure, not a chore. Similarly, a camcorder needs to capture high-quality video and make getting that video as easy as possible. Anything else is gravy, or parsley, that extra something you don’t need that just sits on your plate. The Canon Vixia HF M32 is a very good camcorder and a pleasure to use, but it comes with a big, expensive sprig of parsley.
  • Pros: Very good video quality, Useful and accessible automatic and manual controls
  • Cons: Merely adequate low-light performance, Mediocre image stabilization, 64GB built-in memory adds minimal value for a relatively high price

Pocket Lint
3 September 2010
  • Excerpt: Canon’s latest addition to its Legria HF M series of camcorders is the compact, lightweight M32. A combination of extended storage, ease of use and Full HD shooting with improved creative options make the M32 look a tempting treat. But is it?
  • Pros: Compact styling, HD video quality, optical zoom, AF, metering and exposure control, handling
  • Cons: Built-in mic suffers sound distortion in windy conditions, screen can be difficult to see in brighter conditions and the touch sensitivity is not as sensitive as it could be, screen controls not as intuitive as they could be

Expert Review

2 October 2012
  • Conclusion: Ein großes Manko wurde gegenüber der Vorserie behoben: Die Fokussierung gelingt nun dank Touchscreen deutlich besser.
  • Cons: Kein Zebra
