Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. Did I mention? I LOVE my camcorder.

Cindy, Amazon
  • Summary: I did a lot of research over several months, trying to find a more "upper grade" camcorder on a smaller budget. Finally bit the bullet, and ordered this one. I LOVE it. I love all of the things it can do, and eventually, I will become good at using it!

Love this camcorder

Lilfurbal, Amazon
8 May 2015
  • Summary: Decided to upgrade to this from the XA10 professional camcorder. I lost the handle, IR sensor and XLR inputs and gained a better lens and new recording formats. This seems to be the first and currently only camcorder in Canon's consumer lineup that features both their proprietary mini hot shoe along...

Great Video Camera and Even Better Service

Dennis, Crutchfield
22 April 2015
  • Summary: I was surprised with the quality of video especially in low light. I totally recommend this camera especially at this price point. I wish it came with a camera bag for the price but its still a good value. Good buy.
  • Pros: - Good quality video - Great low light video - Easy to use - Fast recording time from the time you turn it on to press record
  • Cons: - No bag included - No internal memory - No light included on unit

Great upgrade from the Canon M500 camcorder.

Mr Huskey, Amazon
5 April 2015
  • Summary: I've only owned the Canon G30 camcorder for two days now, but it's been an absolutely amazing camera so far. Comparing the Canon HF G30 to the Canon HF M500 camcorder that I have used for recording church services over the last two years: * The video quality at 24Mbps AVCHD is as good as the M500...

Great camera for an average user

Alex, Amazon
21 March 2015
  • Summary: Great camera for an average user, bought it to record my 4 month old. Could not ask for anything else, it's built like a tank and the screen is very responsive. I had a choice from the canon g20 and the g30 glad I choose the g30 for an additional $300.

East Coast Brian, Amazon
17 March 2015
  • Summary: The HF G30 is a really nice camera, especially for the price. I am still getting used to it, so these are a few early comments. The lens is amazing. 20X and sharp and fast all the way.

Great Camera for the $

Frog, Amazon
10 March 2015
  • Summary: I work at a small college and was looking for something that would give me the highest quality video for the least cost. I think I found just what I was looking for. The video is excellent even in lower light. Photos need a little more light to keep from being grainy but pleased with that as well.

Fantastic video quality and easy to use features

J. P. Lopez, Amazon
15 January 2015
  • Summary: This camera has it all: great low light capabilities, enhanced zoom compared to the previous HF g10 and HF g20 models, and manual and configurable controls placed in all the right spots. My christmas morning videos looked awesome and much better than last year when I had a different model.

I think video quality is good and the camera does have some heft to it ...

Hawaii guy!, Amazon
10 January 2015
  • Summary: Putting the camera through some test right now. I think video quality is good and the camera does have some heft to it but to me, exudes quality. I am a little disappointed that the camera does not come with an operating manual.
