Summary: I bought this camera to replace my 10 year old Sony DCR-TVR940 which had developed an apparently common fault from posts on the Sony users forum, namely horizontal grey bars on the recorded image. This was diagnosed by an 'expert' friend as being due to worn out video heads - expensive to repair.
Summary: Well the camera did not arrive when it was supposed to. sadly the delivery man delivered only one of two packages to my workplace but signed for two being delivered. the package delivered was the spare battery which turned out to be the wrong one.
Summary: This camera is brilliantly easy to use while still offering excellent sound and image quality making it very suitable for the training material production that I do. I am especially impressed with its ability to handle difficult lighting situations while still in full auto mode.
