Summary: I have had this camera for approximately six weeks and really know it very well by now. Living in Greece I like the viewfinder which allows me to see my subject even in very bright light which is often a problem with many modern cameras. By modern standards this is a big camera with a big price.

Summary: I am a professional cameraman with 40 years experience in comparing image quality from many cameras, mainly Canon. This little beauty has better image quality than my Canon XHA1s which cost over 5 times the price. Beautiful image quality and decent sound too for its price.
Summary: Had this nearly 2 years - used fairly intensively as an amateur film maker. Instructions excellent. No problems to date. Very versatile. I note that the G30 has a viewfinder that can be tilted and I miss that when I have to use it in strong sunlight. Screen is nice size.
Excerpt: Both photographs and films are of great quality. Excellent in low light conditions, excellent focus on close ups or on far away background just by pointing the finger on the screen,. Easy to retrieve photos without installing a software.
Summary: The Canon HF G25 is a brilliant consumer camera - I actually use it as a second camera for wedding videos (alongside my Canon XA10). It is really simple to use, with a great touch screen display.
