Great camcorder, even though the technology is 6 years old. I love it.

Summary: This camera hasn't been manufactured for several years, but, I owned one up until 3 years ago, sold it, then purchased a Canon HDD HG10 camcorder. I liked it. I sold it. I bought 2 HV10's!--- used. I love the format. There isn't another camcorder around that is as easy to hold and operate. The picture quality is amazing. It takes great stills, has a built in flash and video light. I will probably buy a newer FlashMemory camcorder, but I will keep my HV10's.
Summary: Bought as a gift for Christmas, haven't heard any complaints. You are pretty picky about how many characters a person has to use in their review. That was all I had to say about it since I did not purchase it for myself.
Summary: I have had this thing for 4 years and it still works very well. The camera works wonderful in low light, and gives a great great picture! The compact size is very nice as well. Canon has great quality in their products.
Summary: I choose this product because I owned one but not hi-def. yet and was stollen but i still have some accessories of canon brand. What can I say with this was owesome simlpy magnificent bright colors that you can see through the LCD screen even in a bright day light.
Summary: I order this before Christmas, cheaper on Amazon than "anywhere" legitimate that I could find. Camera is small and light weight, LED light is great outside at night chasing my kids on Christmas Eve...even in low light inside, this wasn't that bad. I have a projection TV, not HighDef or anything and it wasn't grainy...just a little softer on the edges, but way better than my high-8 camera that it replaced.
Summary: With all the light on in our house (not that we have the best lighting), our video comes out grainy. Disclaimer... I may need to read the manual thoroughly to discover if there is something more I should be doing to improve the quality. We selected this type of camera so it would be compatible with our Mac, but I really don't like having to do the tape thing again. It Takes longer than real-time to download to our computer. E.g.
