Arrived broken but the vendor took care of it immediately.

Summary: The camera arrived well packaged, but the lens blind was stuck in the up position making it inoperable. I contacted the vendor immediately and they were very responsive. I sent it back for a refund as it was a pre-owned camera. While the episode was disappointing, I was impressed with the vendor and would not hesitate to recommend or do business with them in the future.
Excerpt: I love still photography a lot, but I find that most of the cameras that are very good for still photography aren’t very good for video recording. It is for this reason that in addition to a myriad digital cameras, I also decided to buy myself a Canon VIXIA HFS10 HD Camcorder . I bought it off Amazon.com at $1250, making it a really expensive kit. I have owned it for a few months so far, and digging into it’s features has been a treat.
Summary: It is a nice camcorder but Canon doesn't and won't support it. It only accepted class4 & class6 SD-cards, put in a class10 and the thing limits the recording format because it doesn't recognize the faster "class". This is a firmware fix that might take all of 2min to update the software, and 5min to test, and perhaps an hour to document and release. Canon would prefer that you buy newer hardware so I am taking their advice and buying a non-Canon camcorder.
Summary: I love the camera, it is a great value for the money, I wish I could have paid full price for a new one, but this one is still up to date and awesome! as a bonus I got a spare battery, battery charger, telephoto lens, a wide angle lens and a boom microphone which more than doubled the value! I am happy!
Summary: I bought this camcorder more than two years ago and I was never disappointed in the quality of HD video and still photos this small camcorder delivers. It is very easy to transfer videos and photos to your PC for further editing by simply connecting the camera to your PC with the provided USB cable. It will show up as an USB drive and then you can basically drag and drop the files to your hadr disk.
Large lens, great low light, manual focus ring/dial. 5 stars

Summary: before this camera I used 3CCD Panasonic PV-GS300 cameras. This camera is much better. The lens is huge by comparison and the picture is in HD. The low light level is much better too. There may be some issues with this camera, but I haven't found them yet. Well, except for the microphones on the camera. They could be better; this doesnt matter much to me though because I am using the external output into a condenser mic of my own.
