Summary: Bought this camcorder simply for the task of taking videos of my children. I've taken it to talent shows, vacations, soccer games... I've used it indoors, outdoors and in many different lighting conditions and I have always been happy with the results.
Pros: The images are sharp, the AF is fast and the options are great. You can get good video from auto-mode or great video using a few simple manual adjustments
Cons: My only negative is I wish it had a viewfinder. The LCD screen is great but can be hard to see in bright sunlight (like any other LCD) so a viewfinder is always a good option to have.
Summary: Ok so i bought this camera because of its price and the good reviews on both amazon and Cnet. The quality does improve A LOT when the sun is out but other then that its picture quality is alright. i really cant complain because its a midrange camcorder.
Summary: I purchased this camera a few weeks ago (about $380) on AMAZON as a replacement for a 9 year old Panasonic PV-DV953, which was $1000 back in 2004 and was the first 3CCD consumer camcorder (I think). The pana picture quality reproduction was brilliant, so I had delayed replacement until now.
Summary: The Cannon Vixia HF 300 is my first camcorder, so I am not an expert on camcorder operation, although I am a amateur photographer with a pro level camera. The camcorder was purchased to record family events with a absolute minimum of fuss and pre-adjustment of the camcorder, but with high quality...
Summary: I've only had this for a couple of days, but I wanted to try out different scenarios that I might be working with. I bought this to have video documentation of my older kids in sports and special occasions as well as of my soon to be born son.
Summary: This is my first true video camera. Video image is excellent. Image stabilization is excellent. Decent microphone for indoor applications, poor for outside with any air movement, but no worse than other built-in mics. Bought the external mic and it is very good.
Summary: Well, I chose this over HF200 becuase this is new and certainly come with some new features. It is light and cute. Picture quality was great when I connected from Cam to TV. Cons, I have not encountered as of now, but we have a big event coming up where I have to check whether it is really meeting...
Summary: I have had and used this camera for a couple of years now and am very satisfied with its video quality. Black levels are what they are with digital vs. older analog technology. Colors are good but not perfect. Facial recognition good. Photo quality pretty good, could be better.
Summary: I bought this camcorder as secondary (smaller) camcorder, alternative to our larger high end camcorder. I'm happy with the M300 but I post this quick review to warn buyers to know what they are buying when they order a camcorder in the series M300/M30/M31/M32 Do NOT buy until you've gone to a...
