Summary: For the price, its a good camcorder. But if you are expecting one with the same qualities as those priced from $900 and up, then this camera is not for you. I bought an FS300 to practice with for my first amateur video project for my film-class only to regret it. The manual aperture and focus control(the most important for video and photo enthusiasts)are useless as both have very limited range, you might as well just stick to the auto modes.
Summary: i have had this camera for about 8 months, and i like it. the quality is good. the colors are not good. vey dark. it requires alot of light. the microphone is fantastic! the best microphone i've ever had on a camera. although, it sounds bad because the camera makes ALOT OF NOISE. a loud buzz. this is not good for quite videos.
Summary: My review deals mostly with setup and process to get to export the video. Overall quality and picture quality are above average. What I don't like is anything that requires me to use added software. This camera will only work in the video mode using the Windodws Media Player unless you install all their software which also plays in the Windows Media Player. However, unless you use their software you have no way to save the video to email or export a file.
