Summary: I feel that the sound and image recordings are poor quality and they can be improved. There might be settings that I have not tried yet for I have only owned it for a short while and I am still learning about it. Lighting is essential for the picture to be seen. It does not record well in dark places.
Summary: This would be a great camcorder in all respects if pictures taken in the dark were not so very grainy. One solution to this would be the addition of a video light that would produce good video of near subjects. Also, Canon should include video software (such as MyDVD for Canon), an 8cm DVD, and a wrist or shoulder strap with the camera. I don't believe it pays off to be "cheap.
Summary: A blank DVD costs less than 20p and records about 20mins of good quality video, instantly player ready. It still does what I originally wanted it for, although I cannot comment on how its price compares with the current market.
