Summary: My 12 year old daughter bought this camera to make her own movies (an "iCarly" craze ???). The only problem is that the sim card was not making proper contact when the door was closed. So, she kept getting the message that the camera was empty.
Summary: The AHDVC03F "Cinecam" sold by Aluratek (and Sharper Image) is terrible. I always talk about pros before cons, but this camera is so bad I needed to get that out of the way in the first sentence. Pros: This camera is very cheap so everyone can afford it. It's black so it goes with everything.
Summary: This camera isn't bad....not great either. Doesn't really seem to shoot in full HD. We also hear a consistent clicking sound in the camera audio. However we don't use the camera sound nor did we intend to when I purchased it.
Summary: This is a handy little camcorder for the price. I purchased it to have something that was small and lightweight to haul to my daughter's marching band competitions. For this the flip on-off of the screen is very handy. After setting up the pit for the band, I can easily get into "recording" mode.
Summary: Got it on sale, awesome quality. true 1080p, with a pretty good zoom. only USB output though, no fire-wire if that's your thing. got a 16gb SD Card, holds about 8hours of 1080p video, very respectable. fits all common tri-pods.
Summary: Well my comment to this HD camcorder is VERY durable because it was dropped onto ceramic tile at a height of 3 and a half feet with the screen open and not a single scratch!!! Oh yeah it was an accident on the first day owning it!
