I'm becoming a fan of Zotac

  • Summary: I bought this as a HTPC, and it's been running great. Plays Blu-ray smoothly, and runs XBMC with no problems.

Great for dual HD display for remote work endpoint. Very small, very quiet, not super powerful.

Lawrence D. Smith, Amazon
20 May 2013
  • Summary: I bought this for use at home when working remotely. This works well for two monitors. It has a 3.4 win experience index due to processor power being somewhat worthless. Win 7 x64 ultimate. Out of the box, it will play Guild Wars and most intense Flash games. It is not super "awesome" for gaming, but it will do some of it. I have this mounted to the 3 monitor mount I bought from amazon as well, it takes the place of the middle monitor quite nicely.

Impressive HTPC for an Impressive Price

Brent V, Amazon
30 March 2013
  • Summary: In addition to wanting a home theater PC, I also wanted something I could use as a low power, always-on server. I needed it to record video from various IP cameras around the house during the day (nanny cams), back up data from my NAS to an online service, sync my music collection with various online accounts like Google Music, and do any other small, automated tasks.

I'm loving it

F. Oquendo "Papo", Amazon
14 March 2013
  • Summary: There are many reviews here about this Zotac ZBOX, so I'll try to concentrate this review for those of you who lack the experience of installing operating system (OS), drivers and so forth. I received the Zotac ZBOX PC yesterday and installed operating system and drivers this morning. I had a small issue when I first tried to install the OS...the PC did not recognize my USB flash drive. Accessing the "System BIOS" by using the "Delete" key failed as well..

Mythtv front end- excellent video -excellent wifi

Teruel De Campo, Amazon
27 October 2012
  • Summary: I bought this units to use as a front end for mythtv. 1. I installed linux opensuse 12.2 without any problems and without having to search for any module or drivers. 2. It is connected to the TV using the hdmi connection. 3. It is connected to the backend (server) wireless. The back end is some distance away in an old house with thick walls so I decided to use a repeater. The signal with the repeater is 90% +. TV transmission is perfect. 4.

Perfect solution for a HTPC

James Z, Amazon
15 May 2011
  • Summary: I bought this back when it first came out and used it as my first HTPC. First thing I did was install XBMC Live. Then I purchased an external HDD case by Mediasonic and loaded it up with 3 2 TB HDDs and connected via USB (to the back of the unit. The ext. case goes on/off automatically with the Zbox). Then I purchased a Rosewill remote (w/ dongle). I then programmed my Harmony One to take the place of the Rosewell remote and that's that.

Exceeded My Expectations

Barry H., Amazon
15 May 2011
  • Summary: There are a lot of excellent reviews on this box that eased my concerns of buying this. I'll keep mine short. I bought this to replace my college age Daughter's old PC that ran like a dog and she couldn't play Sims 3 on it either due to video card requirements. So far this has done it all. I was able to install Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with no problems.

My first HTPC

Dat Hong, Amazon
15 May 2011
  • Summary: Before I got this, I wasn't quite sure what it was. If you are looking for this item, you probably already know. For those of you new to the HTPC market, here are my thoughts. Background: Running Windows 7 Home Premium on a Samsung 55 inch LED LCD TV via HDMI. An HTPC to me is essentially a slim and powerful PC that can fit on your TV console (or monitor) in your living room or kitchen. It is basically a mini-PC and has all the functions of a PC.

Very nice packaging of capabilities, poor WiFi, maybe scrimping on memory and disk

Douglas B. Moran "Computer+History/Politics", Amazon
15 May 2011
  • Summary: Overall, this is a very nice design, both in the tradeoffs and the layout, especially the connectors (some quibbles below). My admiration as an engineer for how well they packed so much into a small package gives it one star of "extra credit" that offset the deduction of one star for the collection of minor problems.

Zotac ZBOX HD-ID34 mit Blu-Ray Laufwerk, Arbeitsspeicher und Festplatte

ati, bewertungen.cyberport.de
25 September 2012
Bin insgesamt sehr zufrieden.
