  • Excerpt: The Viewsonic VPC100 is slim and affordable, but it’s only capable of performing the most basic of computing tasks.
  • Pros: Inexpensive; consumes little power; thin and wall-mountable; built-in DVD burner
  • Cons: Slow for all but the most basic tasks; tiny hard drive; wired (PS/2!) mouse and keyboard; DVD-decoder software not included

  • Excerpt: The ViewSonic VPC100's svelte profile and good looks can't compensate for its relatively high price and lackluster performance compared with all-in-one nettops with more features.
  • Pros: Extraordinarily slim profile for an all-in-one, Bright, crisp 18.5-inch screen built in
  • Cons: Same price as (and similar specs to) MSI's Wind Top, but with less RAM and no touch screen, Sluggish performance, even for a nettop

  • Excerpt: Unfortunately, to get to that point and hold the price down to £339 inc VAT, ViewSonic has taken a few shortcuts with the ViewSonic VPC100 All-in-One system's core functionality. It's a tough market for inexpensive all-in-one desktops. Limitations on applicable system components tend to average out these systems' general performance. That's what makes even the smallest of features critical to a system's success; or in the VPC100's case, its mediocrity.
