Summary: This computer was bought for my wife. It has worked well for 8 months when the hard drive crashed. I spoke with Toshiba customer service and was told that I am responsible for the incurred costs to ship it to an authorized repair center. This is because the nearest repair center is 147 miles away from me. I am a disabled veteran and can not make the drive. So why is it that the customer should pay for the shipping costs when it is the failure of Toshiba and their device?
Summary: Everything is working very well with the computer itself, it's a lovely machine. Windows 8 is painful. Interfaces are not intuitive, and people who have been good with computers in the past are thrown for a loop with accessing and using "apps." I have my fingers crossed for an "update" that will make this easier, and if this computer were a smartphone, things would be different, but I don't use my smartphone the same way I use a desktop, and it's wrong to make me try.
Summary: Very nice computer however the information under the product description is very misleading. You are lead to believe that it's a touchscreen computer when in fact this model is not available as a "touchscreen". PLEASE if you are deciding on purchasing this item be aware that this IS NOT A TOUCH SCREEN ITEM even though the description leads you to believe it is. Good luck!
Summary: The i7 quad core is just fast, no waiting!!! Features like the touch screen and wireless keypad and mouse are great....only plug needed is the power cord! The only problem is Windows 8. The computer keeps locking up and automatically restarting. For some reason when viewing a PDF from explorer it locks up and needs to restore the session. Windows 8 is just flat out terrible!
