Buy Beware! - Do not buy this Computer

  • Summary: Honestly, I knew better than to buy an All-in-One unit but I thought I would take a chance. As the unit is so heavy they can be somewhat unstable. We had someone accidentally knock over our All-in-One and it cracked the LCD. We sent the unit to the Toshiba Repair facility: [...] where they state that a "Replacement or repair of either the LCD" will cost $390.

  • Summary: TecMonkey does not stand behind their products and it they fail past 30 days - there is no recourse. Purchased two Lenova desktops, the monitor went out after 90 days and they refused an solution.

Disk drive failed after 14 months

  • Summary: After just 14 months of use (just beyond the 12 month warranty) the internal disk drive failed. It is out of replacement sectors so I am basically toast. There is no easy way to get access to the disk drive to replace it, so now I have a $900 door stop or else I must figure out how to force the plastic case apart and hope that it is possible to put it back together without special equipment.

Bad product, even worse customer service

  • Summary: When the computer first arrived, it was Thanksgiving holiday and I didn't have a chance to open it right away. When I finally got around to it right after the New Year, I find out it doesn't even turn on... After several hours on the phone with Toshiba and listening to them tell me things I already know and tried before, they refer me to a warranty center 30 miles away from my house. It turns out, the warranty center doesn't even exist anymore.
