Summary: I gave it a one star, cause right out of the box it wouldn't boot up. I called IBM they said' it had a bad motherboard or hard drive.. I returned it to Wal-mart and didn't take another chance on this brand..
Summary: Bought the machine to run Ubuntu version of Linux. The version of Windows 7 on the machine had software to shrink the partition so that I could give half to Ubuntu. The "certified" version of Ubuntu for the M78 had a driver problem, attempting to load an unnessary driver that had to be "blacklisted". After that Ubuntu ran great. The usage of the four cores is very low, showning that the 64 bit core is very effecient in running Linus.
Summary: I bought the Lenovo ThinkCentre because it came with Windows 7 Professional. It also came with disks to install Windows 8. I wanted Windows 7 Professional because it has the capability of running Windows XP programs. The ThinkCentre has USB 3 as well as USB 2 ports. The computer came with only 4GB of memory, but is expandable to 16GB. The AMD processor is a quad core processor. All-in-all it is a good value for the money and performs well.
Summary: I bought this for someone else who uses the computer mainly for Internet and Word Processing. I found it a littl slow but it was cheap, I think I paid less then $300. Build quality however was very high quality.
Summary: The PC has been great, removed all trial software, and installed permanent Anti-virus and spyware protection, then it's been just what I needed except for one glitch. I use a TV monitor and apparently the marriage of the 2 is not 100%, only a problem if you allow hibernation, which I disabled.
Summary: The AMD A-series CPU's are under-appreciated. Sure it is not as powerful as the Intel Core i-whatever. But only those who know why Intel is better are the ones who need that extra power. This is an excellent computer for the majority. Although it is not perfect. It has 4 USB 3.0 ports on the back, none on the front. It is better to have 2 front/2 back USB 3.0 than all 4 in the back.
Summary: I gave this product 3 stars because it only has a 240 Watt power supply. I like the small form factor, but the PCIe x16 slot is useless with no power. It's not as fast as I expected it to be (got a 6.7 on Win Performance Test), but, then, it's a business machine and not a gamer. It does seem to do well on multitasking. VGA is the only video output, but, then again, I don't imagine they have many HDMI monitors in businesses.
