  • Summary: I bought 2 of these computers, and they have worked great. I attached wif cardi to one and a network cable to the other one, and the internet worked great on both of the them. Everything else works great as well, especially the windows 7 professional. I am very happy with my purchase, and would buy another one if available.

  • Summary: this computer met all my expectations it's fast, has plenty of memory both ram & hard drive. the video graphics card does all i need. i don't play video games so can't comment on how it would work with them. it does seem to turn itself completely off if left on for a long period of time, not sleep mode complete shutdown. not a real problem, just strange.

No recover

Steve M., Newegg
29 March 2014
  • Summary: What I received was in great shape, clean inside, case in excellent shape. It used to have vista, but now has windows 7 with new coa sticker.
  • Pros: Low price, works. With the end of XP, this fit the need. Something simple for checking email, surfing the web.
  • Cons: Did not come with any recover disc or partition.

Mine came with 32-bit OS not 64-bit

Bruce G., Newegg
29 March 2014
  • Summary: This has no HDMI out.
  • Pros: Cheap compared to buying a new OS.
  • Cons: Came with 32-bit OS. Core 2 Duo is 64-bit architecture. There are 4 slots to fill with memory. Memory from Crucial costs $96 including Tax for 2x 4GB cl 9 # CT5651421. Hard to find old Hynix DDR3 1060 CL 7 memory. There is this part # CT51264BA1339 from crucial but but I am leery of if it will work, will read the numbers on the memory when they come in and see what they are marked.

Nice System

Wolfgang H., Newegg
15 March 2014
  • Summary: Mine looks almost new with just a few light scratches and it's extremely clean. I've bought other refurb PCs that were dusty, dirty with little sign of "refurbishment". This one looks brand new inside, not a spec of dust anywhere. The Windows 7 install is very clean - no bloatware, antivirus trail versions, etc. Mine came with Win7 32 bit installed. No disks but there is a recovery partition.
  • Pros: Small, quiet, lots of USB ports, VGA and Display Port outputs, no bloatware, very solid little case.
  • Cons: None

An excellent computer at a great price.

Bhakta Jim "Author of The Life And Times Of B..., Amazon
10 February 2014
  • Summary: For the past few years I have been buying reconditioned computers instead of new ones and have installed Linux on all of them. The advantage of doing this is you can get a computer designed for office use that is both rugged and easy to work on. This is the third reconditioned ThinkCentre I have owned. It will not be the last, I'm sure. Unlike computers designed for home use that are painful to work on, the ThinkCentre is easy.
