Summary: I've had this machine for a week and I love it. I'm not a touchscreen fan so I have a USB wireless mouse and keyboard and they work fine (as does the touchscreen, it's simply not my preference). I just installed Windows 8.1 seamlessly and the machine is working just as well after the install. Nothing is perfect but this item is pretty darned good.
Summary: The computer itself seems to be pretty good. When I got the machine, I kept getting messages that I needed to load up the latest software. Since then I have had a perpetual problem with ad-ware. It is so bad that I can't even use the computer to do anything without having to continually deal with pop-ups. I hate the fact that I had to get this computer and trying to get support has been very unsatisfying.
Good computer, Win 8/8.1 not so great for my needs.

Summary: This appears to be a good replacement overall for an older Windows XP machine that was showing its age. But Windows 8 (8.1) tends to still be problematic in some cases as certain tasks (e.g. loading MIDI files) seem to take a long time for no good reason. MIDI files are typically quite small, and the file in question is under 100K bytes. With the XP system this same file loaded quickly. But not so with Win 8/8.1.
Summary: I bought this for my college student daughter, who had previously had a laptop (that failed). She loves the desktop's bigger screen, speed and overall ease of use. We think it was a great choice.
Summary: Had this computer 3 weeks. Maybe, it's just that I HATE Windows. It's ridiculous. The font on the screen is not vibrant its faint and a bit shaky, if that makes sense. The mouse stops working frequently and has to be unplugged and plugged back in. The keyboard is very stiff and the letters are marked in dark gray so its hard to read. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND purchasing the TOUCH SCREEN, I think that would be a huge improvement for ease of use.
Summary: Compared to my old Windows XP with AOL on it, this is one million times better. It's just that this Windows 8 looks like a great OS, but I have a lot to learn about it. Love the way that I can 2 or 3 applications on tap, and go from one to another with just a click of my faithful mouse.
Summary: My son got me this pc as an early christmas present. Had to use my amazon card tho. But it arrived to me in 2 days as promised. Doesnt take up much room, you can move it room to room if needed, its not very heavy. And very few cords.
Summary: I received my new Lenovo two days after ordering it, pretty good for the free shipping option. Setup was a snap, real plug and play finally. I was on the web in just a few minutes checking e-mail and all the other fun stuff. So far this PC is performing flawlessly and Windows 8 is really intuitive. I've heard all kinds of griping about Windows 8 but I don't see anything wrong with it and this is from a guy who jumped to it from XP.
Summary: Although I am still learning windows 8, and the touchscreen technology is nice, and the learning curve into it is progressing. The screen size, and the compactness of the unit, adds versatility, to once outdated desktop units. I am pleased with the purchase and so happy i did not purchase another laptop. I bought a small chrome book for moving around and outside, and has the ability to sync with the desktop, redundant, nah, the fullsize keyboard is nice to have.
