Summary: We purchased 5 of the Lenovo IdeaCentre B540 23-Inch All-In-One. We do many product expos every year, and we use touch screen computers, so our customers can sit in the station and view our product online. We own couple of Sony VAIO Tap 20 all in ones, and we have used these computer in our previous shows. Both computers have same exact operating system Windows 8.
Summary: Bought directly from Lenovo about 6 months ago, and have been plagued with several serious problems. About a month or two after getting it the screen died. They sent out a technician who couldn't do anything, so we waited for Lenovo to send a return box. A couple of weeks later we get it back...and it worked! Yay! But after only a couple of weeks the pc started freezing every few hours or so.
Summary: The computer itself works just fine, but it's kind of heavy. The stand mechanism is in no way sufficient to support the weight of this computer. Unless you mount it to the wall, I wouldn't recommend it at all. Mine just fell over, without anyone near it, and the screen smashed at the top and cracked down the entire length. It still works, but it is no longer a touch screen computer.
Summary: I opened my IdeaCentre on Saturday morning all ready to set it up. However, the rear support leg is stuck in the upright position. I have placed four calls to Lenovo support and been disconnected four times. Twice after calls of over 10 minutes. I understand phone issues and poorly trained call center people. I don't understand getting my name and phone number at the beginning of each call and never calling me back after they disconnect me.
Summary: On paper this computer appeared to be an excellent buy. Unfortunately it quickly developed 2 faults. It would freeze for no apparent reason and would persistently drop the internet connection and the wireless adaptor had to be reset. In fact in completing the online return to Amazon I had to use another computer because of this second fault. To be fair Amazon were very good and offered a refund.
