Summary: I now have two of these machines. The first one has run 24/7 for over a year now. These are the BEST work stations I have ever owned! Add to their BLAZING (quad core) speed and super dependability a 3 year onsite parts and labor warranty and this is a great buy!
Excerpt: using it for music as slave to an old 2009 Mac Pro with Protools and virtual instruments. Saw how a teacher at MacProvideo hooked a Pc as slave to mac so he can allocate processing power for the hungry virtual instruments. Everyone is so helpful B&H included to support such a more advanced approach.
Summary: The overall system is what you would expect as quality from H-P, but to actually be a workstation, the graphics segment needs to be considered, especially since you have put a fast processor, lots of RAM, and a SSD in the box.
Excerpt: A solid PC, bought a bunch of them for an office for running accounting software. Nice that there wasn't much bloatware onboard. Be sure to match which monitor input (cable) your going to need, display port male to HDMI. Wanted the W7 option... B&H is dependable and has great service!
Summary: My company has purchased at least 15 of these work horses and we're very happy with them. We do a lot of editing and have more than enough power to get the job done. It's very rare that we have any issues with these HP workstations.
Excerpt: Pulled the system out of the box, added 16gb non-ecc ram for a total of 24gb, connected two 4k monitors via DP connections, and everything worked great from the start and has continued to work well for two weeks.
Pros: Adequate Storage, Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Fast, Reliable Performance, Very quiet
