  • Summary: Comments about HP TouchSmart IQ775 Desktop: This computer stands more in the relam of a portable desktop or a stationary laptop. Looks very sleek, the quality from the tv tuner comes out great on the screen. 19" widescreen isn't too shabby.
  • Pros: Adequate Storage, FM Tuner
  • Cons: Poor Software Bundle

Good and Bad

Alex H., Newegg

  • Summary: My mother bought this beast of a computer as a second computer after owning a Dell Dimension XPS 550Mhz for years. And this doesn't seem like an improvement. She is fed up with all the Vista problems that we have had. We've had eleven blue screens and she seems really fed up with it.
  • Pros: Touch-screen, Slot-loading optical drive, media center remote, deticated graphics card
  • Cons: Boot-up seems slow, Windows VISTA

  • Excerpt: I purchased an HP TouchSmart IQ772 eight months ago and paid just under £1,000 for it and the webcam has now failed. As it is under gujarantee,I booked it in for repair and was told that the courier service they use could not pick i t up for two weeks! I therefore had to take the machine in myself.

  • Excerpt: well, this device if it had a metal case would be very efficient at cooking your breakfast not just its own hard drive. although i must admit that hp were kind enough to replace its hard disk drive twice in less than a month. 5 stars for that HP!
  • Pros: Very Sleek, Full Of Extras And No Unsightly Wiring Everywhere
  • Cons: Inefficient Cooling Due To Sleek Case, Possible unreliability Due To High Operating Temperatures

  • Summary: I've had the touchsmart for over 2 months now. This is one incredible PC. I have no idea why HP market this as a kitchen PC coz its way too cool for that. The performance, for me, is pretty good.
  • Pros: The form factor, performance, ease of use
  • Cons: No FM Radio, Wireless keyboard, inbuilt webcam

  • Pros: Looks! And it is fully equipped as well.
  • Cons: Lacks flexibility! Many new stuff wont belong to HP, and for a machine like this, you wont risk stuff from another maker!

  • Excerpt: I have always tended to steer clear of 'packaged' pcs from the major manufacturers, prefering to build my own, but bought this model more for it's space saving design. I must admit to being pleasantly surprised.
  • Pros: Clean, space - saving design
  • Cons: Windows Vista, terrible keyboard
