Summary: I like the computer but when i got it it didn't have any instructions with it plus I thought the computer stand would come out a little more and it doesn't so i keep it laid down fearing it falling.
Summary: The screen of this computer has very poor quality compared to other computer monitors. The touch function fails frequently and the graphic display is poor. I bought a brand new one because it was recommended by Microsoft and now I realize that I should not have trusted Microsoft on this one. Don't buy this product. There are better computers with better displays (GUI) out there.
Summary: This computer was a total disaster. It was in for repairs 3 different times within the first 6 months. Motherboard kept crashing. HP finally gave me a newer IQ527 in it's place. It was such a hassle and I think the repair center had posession of it more than my daughter did the first year but at least they gave me a new one. I know your not supposed to say never....but I will never buy another HP computer again. My old emachine finally died and I went Mac for myself!
Summary: I use the computer for everything. To pay bills is fun ,I just touch the screen to click onto anything I want to do.It's sooo much fun.I just tap and slide windows to see 2 at a time .This is as much fun to me as using my Ipod touch.I'm 45 and anything to make using a computer fun for me is great.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Never Freezes, Powerful, Quiet, Versatile
Summary: This is a nice machine and it was a good price. I have never had a problem with J&R. I have seen 3 blue screens of death which it restarts from no problem. If auto-updates don't fix, I will have to figure out what to do.
Summary: This was purchased for our kitchen and be a general use machine for everyone in the home. We have young kids, under 5 years old, and this works very well. The two year old using the touch screen runs through programs on starfall, etc, entertaining himself for literally an hour at a time. The 5 year old has vastly improved his dexterity with the mouse.
Summary: I've had good luck with HP refurbished items. They usually look new and are well packaged. On this particular unit, the USB wireless receiver had fallen out into the bottom of the box, so keyboard and mouse didn't work for setup. I thought the receiver might be internal; luckily, I found it. There is a specially placed USB slot just for this receiver, but this was not shown in the setup guide. The left mouse button is defective.
