  • Summary: We recommend the HP TouchSmart 610q with few reservations thanks to its speed, its competitive pricing, and an innovative tilting case design that makes this a best-in-breed touch-based all-in-one.
  • Cons: We have few complaints about this system, although it would have been nice if HP had included a video output port.

HP TouchSmart 610 Review

Digitaltrends
1 November 2011
  • Conclusion: This computer is a tour-de-force for modern touchscreen desktops. It throws everything that one could imagine at the task at hand. It has fast hardware, a brilliant display, a custom touch interface, and a unique hinge that makes it possible to angle the entire touchscreen in numerous ways for easy use. Even so, there are flaws in this design.
  • Pros: Beautiful 1080p display, Touch input is responsive, Fast hardware, Unique hinge works well
  • Cons: Expensive, No HDMI out, Touch input is of questionable use

  • Excerpt: This powerful family PC has a slide-down touch screen that converts it into a huge tablet. The slider needs refining, but we saw little else not to like.
  • Pros: Stunning productivity speed for an all-in-one, Decent gaming graphics, Generous port mix, Best touch-screen experience on a desktop
  • Cons: Slide-down screen a bit clunky, complicates using side ports

PC Advisor
4 December 2011
  • Excerpt: This chunky all-in-one PC offers great potential for entertainment and office productivity. Although the HP TouchSmart’s 23in screen is no larger than that of the competition, its chassis is much thicker, at 103mm. A black soundbar below the screen only adds to its bulk.

HP TouchSmart 610-1030a review: A touchscreen PC with great specifications and an excellent design

Good Gear Guide.au
4 December 2011
  • Summary: The HP TouchSmart 610-1030a has a new design that allows it to sit almost horizontal on a desk so that you can use its touchscreen a little more comfortably. However, it's only a two-point touchscreen and it's quite reflective. The configuration and features of the PC are strong, but its price may put most people off.
  • Pros: Excellent design, good configuration and performance, lots of features
  • Cons: Screen accuracy not great, only two simultaneous touch inputs, reflective screen
