If you need to cook an egg...

Jamie C. C., Newegg
10 April 2013
  • Summary: I dragged it out of the closet and fired it up. It did come right on and I was able to connect it wirelessly to my router immediately. However, since my other computers are running Windows 7 it won't connect to the network because it's running Vista.
  • Pros: It's small. You can connect to the internet with either wi-fi or ethernet. It has several card readers easily accessible in the front panel.
  • Cons: It's so compact with everything so crammed together, especially the power supply that it gets very hot very quickly. The power supply is only 160W but that sucker heats up the top of the case so much that I swear you could fry an egg up there. Mine ultimately shut down because it got so hot. It's...

  • Pros: Bought this as a second computer for my wife to use for her grad studies. We had a small area for this system so the smaller tower had a lot to do with this purchase. The fact that I can one day run a HDMI cable over to my plasma was also involved in the decision making process. CNET gave this li...
  • Cons: Don't like the dongle you have to waste a USB port on to use the wireless mouse and keyboard. Seems that HP could put this inside the tower.

Hard to change to XP

  • Pros: Fine, works good.
  • Cons: Very hard to change operating system to XP. They went out of their way to make sure you can not connect to your lan so you can get drivers downloaded. I will just switch to MAC in the future.

Spiffy little system

John R., Newegg
25 March 2008
  • Summary: Still figuring out all the bells and whistles.
  • Pros: This system is loaded with HTPC features. The Media Center built into Vista is surprisingly rich and engaging. Speedy enough to be fully usable.
  • Cons: No HD input. Too much crapware. Using a mouse from the sofa is a pain; will have to buy some other pointing device. Vista!

ROBERT O., Newegg
16 January 2008
  • Summary: If you like to have a lot of room around the house...this desktop will take up very little space.
  • Pros: A very portable system!! The tower is about the same size as my XBOX 360 and just about the same wait, but with a very hard, sturdy shell. Very fast right out of the box!! The built in wireless works GREAT, I rather take this tower with me while I travel instead of a laptop.
  • Cons: The compact size of the tower leaves very little room for expansion.
