Summary: My older HP Pavilion 775e lasted 11 years. It still works, but one can take a 2 hour nap and the old PC still tries to boot up. So, being of right and sound mind purchase this Pavilion p6750f desktop with Windows 7 64-bit OS. It boots quicker, has all the bells and whistles, plus there's so many new features over XP Home. It setup will quick and did it's thing. When I went to setup Outlook Express, found Windows 7 don't have OE.
Summary: Very good machine, lots of memory and hard drive space. Particularly love the built in wireless, as well as the location of the power button (it is placed on top of the tower) The physical appearance is great, very sleek and glossy, the pattern looks very good as well, though you may have to clean often for fingerprints. Surprisingly light, and very quiet in operation, not it doesn't come with a monitor or speakers but does include mouse / keyboard in the box.
Summary: My last computer was 8 years old, hanging in there, and then died in February. I bought this to replace it - I'm so glad I did! I do a lot of photo editing, and this computer brings up Photoshop 10X faster than my last pc, and processes everything within PS lightning fast. All my other programs work very quickly as well, even watching streaming video works better on my end.
Summary: The overall specs on the PC represent a reasonable value for the cost--considering the rate that technology is advancing and giant price fluctuations in PCs. The design was cool, but not critical. What made me buy was reading in the description that it played Blu-Ray (which it does NOT), as we wanted to try this as a (granted, too large) home theater pc.
Summary: easy to set up out of the box. word and excel program that comes with the computer should be adequate for most users, ie - no need to purchase microsoft suite as the setup recommends. Have used for about a month and no problems.
Summary: I have had this computer for a month and I LOVE it!! I priced other computers and this is the one settled on. I had a dell before this...I now LOVE HP computers. I bought mine from QVC so i was able to make payments and the setup was soo easy right out of the box.
