Summary: I LIKE IT, and can make upgrades to satisfy me. I had a HP compaq presairio for the last ten years liked it so when I found this on ebay the price was right many of the accessories I had for presairio would work here. When you find a good company buy from them.
Summary: I had it for about 3 months, using it every day. My XP desktop stopped turning on, so it was time to get a new one. Most of the work is emails, web and word processing. Some minor picture editing. My XP machine came to life one day and I backed up all of the needed files (pictures, music, docs) and moved them over. Overall it is a nice machine. The only thing I dislike is the lack of a 10/100/1000 ethernet adapter. I didn't think it'd matter much but it does.
Summary: We've had this computer for several weeks now with no problems. We were upgrading from an old Dell (circa 2002), so I guess almost anything would be an improvement. I was a little concerned that maybe the graphics would be sub par (we don't do any gaming), but for normal surfing, etc. they're fine. I gave it 4 stars because of the lack of usb ports (4 back, 2 front).
Summary: Got this as a 2nd PC so we can get online while 15yr old son occupies the other one. Connected it directly to my HDTV via DVI to HDMI cable. The computer is fast and quiet, and boots up quickly (for now). Will probably replace PS so that I can upgrade video card to an AllinWonder or one that serves as a DVR for HDTV. I swapped the key board and mouse with the ones from my Dell which are bluetooth wireless.
Summary: I wanted an affordable computer to run Adobe CS5 with plenty of RAM and hard drive space, without a whole lot else. I have been real happy with this computer. I don't game so the onboard graphics have been fine. I am trying to stick with a single monitor, I bought an awesomely cheap and good 24" LED Viewsonic VX2450wm, so haven't tried to split the dual digital DVI port yet.
Summary: This computer did not come with a program to write with unless you purchase Office. It's a great computer otherwise. I am an old HP user and I never bought one without Works already installed and I am used to it.It seems like that is not too much to ask. HP would not give it to me when I called. I would buy this computer anyway, but I think it's cheap to try to sell Office this way.
