Summary: I received the HP desktop on 3 July, hooked it up and have been totally satisfied every since. This was an excellent purhcase selling well below market value. I only had one issue, the antenna for the wifi card was missing. For me no big deal because I had one that fit. If it was included I would have rated the seller at 5 stars. I would recommend it!!!
Summary: The HP Pavilion desktop had been working for many time and never present a failure. It star properly and run all the applications as I hope. Mouse and keybord are very good. I received the PC in perfet condition.
Summary: I got an HP Pavilion Desktop from Amazon and Blinq at a very good price; it was open box with 1 year warranty and I couldn't match the price anywhere; in fact no one else even came close. I know it was never used as I had to set every thing when I opened it and all was enclosed just as Blinq advertized. It was Athlon Quad core, 4 gb ram and 640 hard drive. It has worked flawlessly since I purchased it last year.
Summary: I purchased this desktop in hopes that I could replace my girlfriend's 10+ year old HP that up until this point was a tank. I was looking for a cheap(er) computer, but still with some solid specs, and a bit of kick. After a bit of browsing, I decided that the p6610f was around the profile that I was looking for. After a speedy delivery, I opened up the computer and plugged the unit in hoping for a quick start-up, and hassle free beginning.
Summary: This machine is used daily in a busy office environmemt. Bottom line - it does what I need it to do quickly and without any problems. I bought a second HP a few months later with the same results - No Problems at all.
Summary: Mine is a P6t HP but close enough to this unit to comment. I bought a top of the line HP a few years ago but when I attempted to upgrade it from Vista to Win7, the screen went dark and stayed there with no resolution in spite of trying everything I could find or learn to resolve the issue. Unable to uninstall Win7 (which I wasn't aware of before I went down the Win7 upgrade trail), I had created a boat anchor with my old computer which as disconcerting to say the least.
Summary: I grabbed this system refurbished for $299 from a nearby shop here in the area. And, I purchased their extra 2 yr. extended warranty for $79. Thus far, the machine's speed is excellent...and if I upgraded the RAM to it's capacity (16GB), it would be even faster. I am currently running Red Hat Enterprise Linux (server version) on it via the free CentOS version. At first, I was concerned with drivers issues as some of these components are newer to Linux.
Summary: I strongly discourage anyone from buying the HP P6610f or a comparable HP desktop computer with similar components from Amazon or any other vendor. I bought mine brand new from Amazon about 10 months ago, paid about $600, and thought I would enjoy it for use with my home-based consulting business. Amazon is one of my favorite online shopping sites.
Summary: Microsoft, in its great wisdom, is selling PC manufacturers 64 bit Windows 7 software which is what came preloaded on my PC. There are problems with the 64 bit system, added to any problems with the 32 bit sytem. I can get very little Microsoft support. Their idea of support is to refer you to Forums where other unfortunate users discuss their problems. It might be helpful if they would include a manual with their software (written in English, not computer geek).
Summary: I wanted to wait until I had some hours on this before I wrote a review. Everything is working great, the computer is extremely quiet and fast. it accomplishes everything I need for my online gaming without need to upgrade to a graphics card. I dont like having the preload of Norton on there, but had to laugh when they included a "post-it" saying something to the effect of their program will cost an arm and a leg but will save your identity.
