Summary: I bought this new desktop in 2012, front two USB port and SD, MS and xD slot not working, was using the back side all the time till my friend found ( 23 Aug 14 ) out the wires not connected internally,
Summary: I purchased this unit from a local retailer, but am an old AMAZON customer; hence am adding this review. The motherboard supports only 8gb of ram - which is sufficient, but buyers should be aware. There is only one hard drive bay in the box yet the motherboard has 6 SATA slots. A second drive bay should have been an easy design spec, yet HP elected to skip this.
Summary: the P6-2120 has worked well for most of the time. We DID add an AGP to get a DVI output for my Samsung 60". We sent the unit back for warrenty work after 3 months because the on-board clock module gained about 2hrs per day. HP returned the unit, saying it met specs, but it still gains about 2hrs per day. Ok, it was $219, so absolute perfection may not have been promised.
Summary: After using it for 4 months it developed a software issue. The computer failed to print. I download the printer software from HP and each time it told me that the printer is not connected. So I called the hp support and they diagnosed that the problem is the software. They will fix it for $65.00 and i said no. You guys can send me a software (windows 8). I will upgrade it myself. Thank you!
Summary: Given the lack of reviews on this PC, I thought maybe somebody else could benefit from my experience. At first glance the hardware looks sound: a quad core 3.2ghz, 8gb RAM machine with a terabyte HDD. The AMD A8-5500 had an onboard GPU competent enough to handle HD video and some games at med-low settings. If you are looking for an office grinder or competent home desktop, there's nothing wrong with this machine. The issues come when you try to add anything.

Summary: If I had not had some experience assisting me I would still be on the outside looking in. This is the worst machine I've owned over the last 15 or so years. I just can't get the nack of it. I've been trying to locate a 8.1 to download but I still can't be sure it's a good one so I have not downloaded 8.1 yet. Maybe if I can get 8.1 I might understand the operation a little better,.. Do you know a good location I can find 8.a ??
Summary: This thing is running, for now. It has been a month and it has frozen up twice. Multi tasking? Naah! It is loud, but the audio play back only works after I fight with Windows 8, which is awful! Video streaming? No. Old files are lost, which is not (name withheld's) fault. I simply can't open the files! I could go on but why bother. Stay away from this very underwhelming unit.
