Summary: When I first received the computer I was a little upset. The side panel had come off during shipping, allowing all the packaging beads to get inside the CPU. It was a pain to clean out, static made the beads cling and they were in the tightest spots making it difficult to remove them. However the computer itself in good. There is minimal scratches on it and it works well. I purchased the computer for my father who is in a nursing home.
Summary: Never had any issues with this system. Started out using the Windows 7 that came with the system. It worked pretty good with 7, but sometimes slow to boot. Then upgraded (really downgraded) to Windows 8. The machine still worked great, but very slow to boot and also coming out of hibernate mode, sometimes it froze. I believe these are mostly driver issues and not anything to do with the systems itself. I finally installed Ubuntu 12.10. Wow!
Summary: So far I have been very happy with this computer. It was easy to set up and quick to transfer everything from the old computer. It has been quiet and it runs everything as fast as you would expect a computer with its capacity. Very pleased.

Summary: I chose this computer almost a year ago because of the ratings consumer reports gave it. Naturally, I always check with Amazon first regarding pricing. Nobody could beat it. I'm glad I got it with windows 7 installed as well. Nice computer - no problems yet.....
Summary: If I could give HP less than one star, it would have been negative stars. I guess the case looks nice and I can brag that we have a 6 core (if I don't explain the rest), giving it one star. I have had this HP Elite HPE 410f computer for several months. I guess I was expecting more from HP and a 6 core. On setup, I attempted to use a HDMI to DVI cable to take advantage of the digital monitor. It did not work and I spoke with HP Customer Support.
Summary: I purchased two of these on black Friday 2010 when I was VERY pregnant. Apparently geek girls nest by buying new technology. One for the living room and one for my work. One works fine. The other, which yes, took me months to even get to setting up, I've had trouble with from out of the box. It would not set up or let me past the first splash screen without freezing even when trying to boot in safe mode, bios, etc.
Summary: I had NOTHING but issues with this particular HP model, and it has been shipped back to HP a few times, and it looks like it's going back again. I bought it to replace and much older HP desktop, but at this point, it too unstable to use period. My past 2 HP desktops have been the worst computers that we ever owned, and this is coming from a guy who once owned a Compaq, eMachine, and Acer desktops. If you buy this, good luck, and I tried to warn you.
