Summary: I had grown very weary of HP after my $1500 laptop crapped out (overheated and melted wireless adapter, then graphics card, then wouldn't boot at all)immediately after the one year warranty, and my mother's HP laptop did the same about a year later, and then my friend's did the same.
Summary: HP finally replaced the motherboard. Had me reinstall the operating system several times, drug out the process for more than a month. When it came back fixed it has worked great since. Not happy with the service from HP but the product has proven to be good.
Summary: If the overheating issue can easily be resolved, I would still recommend this computer

Cons: 3 months after purchase the computer crashed on me, but I think this was due to a virus that I had and could not remove. The computer blue screens due to overheating. I am still looking into this problem and I am not sure if one of the fans is not working. The computer runs hot all the time, even...

Summary: This computer worked really well for a few months, but quickly bogged down. 11 months in it refused to even boot up, it wasn't a virus problem, but an HP problem. Am still getting the run around from HP support
Summary: I bought this HP a month ago and I have had no problems with it all. My old Dell with only 768MB memory took for ever to handle processing. This HP has 8MB of memory and it flew through the file transfers from the old machine to the new, is fast on the Internet, and my Dell flat panel monitor is...
