Summary: I was in the market for a new machine and as timing would have it, Circuit City was in the middle of their closing down so I was able to get a really great deal on this machine. It's served me really well in the year or so that I've had it and I've encountered no problems whatsoever. It's fast, quiet, and done everything that I've asked of it.
Summary: Perhaps it was the slowness of my previous unit but, this system is verrrry fast. The only problem I have had is the audio... It appears that the speakers I was using with my previous unit are not compatiable with this one. I have not resolved the problem yet but I really haven't worked on it.
Summary: This unit can't be beat for price and performance. The HP tower is roomy and organized--all it really needed was a graphics card to turn it into a fine gaming machine. Also included was a free upgrade coupon for Windows 7. There is an extra expansion bay for another hard disk drive for setting up a RAID system, or for adding a blue ray drive, which can hold up to 25 gigs of info on each (still pricey) disk.
Summary: The 6720 I ordered, was mistakenly shipped as a 6710 dual core. I was setting the computer up when I noticed it was not the model ordered. The 6710 is an awesome computer I came to find out thru setting up; however, I contacted OS and they immediately shipped the model ordered (which is on route), and sent me return label for the computer received. No hassle, no fuss, just a nice apology.
Summary: No support, October 9, 2009 By Stan Tomberg (Hendersonville, NC) - See all my reviews On 1/01/09 I called customer service (that is what they call it). I told the tech my internal lightscribe drive would not burn label's. I am not a not a novice and I went through all the steps - uninstalling the drive and reinstalling the drive, etc. I told the the tech that my external lightscribe drive was working fine so it had to be the drive.
Summary: Works as expected. I haven't been able to get the wireless Ethernet working again one of the Windows updates, but that's the way it goes.I was able to put in a new power supply and graphics card and it's been working fine.
Summary: I bought this computer because my other computer was ancient and I couldn't edit a movie without crashing. GETTING STARTED My computer did not work when I first plugged it in. It was not compatible with my monitor. I couldn't figure it out until I connected the computer to another monitor. Apparently, that monitor has issues, because it didn't work with some of my other computers, either.
