  • Summary: Extremely slow and constantly freezing. Returned to Amazon, which was very easy. Purchased an HP700-215 directly from the factory for about the same price. Much better for the money.

  • Summary: ******DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM**** as soon as I got this item, and I got it fast like in two days I hooked it up and tried to set it up. I was unable To do anything on iT because it was telling me it was malfunctioning. I took it straight to Geek Squad in Best Buy and they told me it was because Norton AntiVirus was downloaded on it, it came with it, Tech told me Nortons antivirus is not compatible with Windows 8.

This computer is horrific and being sent back

tedium, Hewlett-Packard
  • Summary: I received this computer yesterday. I downloaded my internet provider's McAfee which has always worked great before. By then end of the evening. It had quarantined a Trojan. A Trojan never got into my current computer which is not top of the line and that I've had for 7 years. It said it downloaded 41 Windows Updates. I did not confirm this and I don't believe it did. Today, it said it had 63 updates. I let it add the updates and got error messages.

You loaded the computer with all kinds of junk

lovethatmusic, Hewlett-Packard

  • Summary: I can't work on many sites because your programs and ads take over the entire work space. I don't like 8.1. I made a mistake in getting it. Some of my other files and programs don't work on 8.1. I'm sorry I spent all this money on this unit and wish I had my money back. I small booklet which shows nothing for use and setup. The average person could never set the computer up without help.

Hew Rivera, Amazon
22 August 2014
  • Summary: I bought this computer in April and have had nothing but problems ever since. I have spent over $500 trying to keep this thing running. Now HP tells me they want to take it down to its original form (recovery) to look for the problem. Yesterday I was on the phone for over 6 hours! They say it is not a hardware problem and that it must be software.

SSD a waste

George252, Hewlett-Packard
19 August 2014
  • Summary: Added the 50.00 solid stated drive option, which said it would be used as ready cache to boost performance. This is not the case it was shipped with the SSD filled completely up with a System Restore Image. Drive was/is never being utilized for caching. Don't waste your cash on this.

Don't buy it!

Garrett Chism, Amazon
13 August 2014
  • Summary: I got this at Staples specifically for gaming. I don't need to tell you how bad of an idea that was. If you're thinking about getting this computer for anything but light office work, then stop thinking and spend a few hundred more dollars to get something worth your money.
