Summary: This is a great computer -- vivid HD 23 inch touchscreen, a fast processor, more than than enough storage, good speaker sound, great touch wireless keyboard and mouse, etc. It is all I wanted and expected from HP (I have an HP laptop and wireless printer that are great performers). In spite of many critics to the contrary, I like Windows 8.1 -- easy to learn and use, and just fun as a desktop /tablet hybrid.
Summary: This kicks things into high-gear even though its Windows-8 (yep, I hate the Win-8 but its not this computer's fault I do). I can swing this puppy under my arm (cord, keyboard and mouse in satchel) and trot out the door with it and I got it ALL with me. Even with a small form factor I couldn't do this. Its light, sleek and with a fantastic display. Nope, I didn't want the touch screen and glad I didn't waste my money on something I'd never use.
Summary: this computer is a good product if you have a basic task, that could be download music, watch movies, listen music, play games, all your basic notes from work, very simple. you can be online pretty easy, it has 6gb memory RAM, a a decent hard disk space so it's so nice you don't need to much, is built with good quality and windows 8 match perfect even if not come with touch screen.
Summary: I am not good at writing colorful reports about products but the HP Pavilion 23 I just bought has well surpassed my expectations. I wish HP had forgone the inclusion of Norton Internet Security for Windows 8. There were too many glitches to get it to work and after doing some tweaks It only worked partially. My advice to any one who buys a computer with this program on it is to quickly uninstall it and replace it with something that isn't so restrictive.
Summary: This computer is great. I haven't found much info about this computer being good for gaming. This is a good pc for gaming. It runs smoothly and efficiently games which are particularly taxing from Just Cause 2, Assassins Creed 2, Fallout New Vegas, Chaos Theory, Arma 2 and many others. So if gaming is a factor for you and you are considering this HP I give you the go ahead because games function fantastically on it.
Summary: Our Dell desktop is getting old/slow so this was to be the replacement. I hooked it up in the living room just to make sure everything out of the box worked, etc. there really weren't very many pieces, so ... Hmm. The keyboard & mouse are wireless, unconnected to the computer - I have not used either one (yet). I plugged in the power cord, then the little thingamajig (dongle?) and it did its own set-up & found the house wi-fi on its own.
