Summary: The wireless keyboard did not work and half of the touchscreen did not respond to touch. Have to send it back to HP for repairs. That could take a while. This is a refurbished model that it looks like someone forgot to refurbish!
Summary: I like the looks of the computer very much, delivery was delayed and did not meet stated delivery date. Setup for the computer was very confusing for a "computer illiterate". Top that off with apparent software and hard drive problems, an almost eight(8) hour phone call to HP Support Group (located in India), non-understandable accents, technicians and "supervisors" giving totally opposite diagnosis for the problems, final solution?
Summary: I bought them for my daughters, one has been fine, the other has problems with the stand, it failed, the computer fell and broke the screen, which isn't covered by manufacturer or extended warranties. I'm trying to have it fixed. What we will do is run a belt with Velcro securing it through each side of stand , attaching it to the table/stand, from now on. If I had it to do over I would have bought the hp envy recline 23 inch instead.
Summary: I returned my pavilion. Touchscreen works intermittently. Windows 8.1 difficult to navigate. Computer has a tendency to freeze. Computer blocks out certain wed sites such as Picasso 3 Slow to load apps. Not a great number of apps.
Summary: Got the machine 2 weeks ago. It took almost a week for me to download my software, music and files. I thought it was just performing slowly because perhaps it was updating and such as new machines will, however, once all the dust settled, I have compared it to my HP Envy and my HP Pavilion d4500y and find that the download time on this Pavilion 23 (supposed to be lightning fast) was 6x longer than the Envy and half as fast as the 2005 Pavilion d4500y.
Summary: I can't write a review about the computer because I didn't receive what I ordered but a much cheaper model. The 2 star poor rating pertains to the seller. The computers obviously were switched at some point before I received it. The power adapter & cord, wi fi usb and set up instructions were missing. The keyboard was larger than its container. The seller did send the power cord & adapter but I had to buy a wireless keyboard & mouse in order to boot up the machine.
Excerpt: DO NOT buy this computer! Believe me there is a reason why they are selling this all in one so cheap. It looks good, but its performance is terrible; constantly freezes, doesn't wake up, screen going black until you power it down and back up again. Very frustrating and time consuming. I lost all my work in the middle of writing a paper when it decided to freeze on me once more. I bought it in January and have not even had it a year, yet.
