Summary: very good PC overall, great performance ..although there is some learning curve for first time windows8 users. the touch screen works great..keyboard and mouse are good quality. i like the convinience of carrying it around between rooms without much hassle.
Summary: I suppose the term "desktop" threw me because I was expecting it to be a little more complete. Let me say first that this is a great item. The screen is vibrant and the sound is great. It's easy to use once you get used to it. It's nice to have the option to take it to another room if need be, lay it flat or even have on a trip. That being said, I bought this for my wife and it's a bit heavy. She tends to just leave it in one room.
Summary: I simply love this think seriously... you can literally put it in your lap and just play video games, watch a movie, browse... I have to say never being a big fan of windows 8 but this think is so cool that I really don't care, the portable aspect of it is amazing 20"... I'm 6'3 so to me it's perfect, a person on the smaller side may struggle carrying it around with the weight and size... you can also buy a drive for a few bucks, which I did, so that's not a problem...
Summary: I purchased this because of the portability and use it like a tablet. A heavy tablet!! I am new to Windows 8 but am learning more all the time. I purchased a book, Windows 8 Digital Classroom and it has helped me a lot. There is still a lot that I don't understand but this is making it enjoyable to learn. My biggest gripe is that HP does not make a case for this. I am looking for one that unzips all the way , 3 sides, so I can actually leave it in the case while using.
Summary: My kids love playing with the Rove on the floor. It is kind of heavy to tote on an airplane, but it is easily transported around the house. The Rove is big enough to watch movies on with a crystal clear picture. I love how adaptable it is to the space it occupies. The battery is pretty decent. It is about 4 to 5 hours. I would recommend this PC for a family, college student, single parent or family of 30!
