Windows 7

  • Summary: Works great so far (2 weeks). Replaced wife's really old XP 18 months ago with similar HP win 7 unit, and it was my turn. I'm really glad I was able to get a new Win 7 unit so I can figure out what her problems are with using hers. Just like as in cell phones, DVR's, remote controls, etc. I'm much better with electronics than her. I also wish we could get some free software added like the old days, not just games.

  • Summary: This is a very fast /responsive system and is completely upgradable. Beats audio is top notch and I love windows 8.1. I have no problem with office tasks or games. I also purchased a Pavilion 23xi monitor and all I can say is AWESOME. Buy this system and you will not be disappointed. Thank you HP for your business and another fine product.

User Review

  • Summary: The memory slots of the pc can hold maximum 32 gb, HP only makes 8 gb in one slot on the brand of pc. Therefore even the popular software runs on the pc very slow. You have to buy 16 gb or 24 gb memory chips to install on the pc yourself to speed the machine for normal operation. Each gb costs about ten dollars, you have to pay extra for $160 to $240 or more. It is not worth to buy it.

Enjoying new computer

Rick55, Hewlett-Packard

  • Summary: I am still learning to use Windows 8.1 (upgraded from Vista). I do not have a touch screen so computer does open up to a normal desktop. I do flip between the desktop and apps page to try and learn. I usually kept a clean desktop though showing what I use most of the time. Seeing all those icons across the screen will take some time to get used to.

Product is very disappointing

TexasConnection, Hewlett-Packard

  • Summary: The desktop seems to have multiple issues. It requires a very long time to boot up, open applications, like iTunes, Facebook, and takes a long time to shut down. In addition, the desktop will not recognize an added external or internal hard drive. Thus far, I am very disappointed with my purchase and may be returning the machine in the very near future.
