Pros: I own a computer shop. We've purchased quite a few of these. They run Win7 just fine. I wouldn't try to run Call of Duty but works for everything else (especially business apps).
Cons: One of the systems has some weird issues with a blue screen. Have already wiped system and reloaded from scratch and not sure if problem is gone or not. RAM tests good so we are at a loss. I don't know that the refurbisher could have caught this but it is still a small cause for concern.
Summary: A friend needed to replace an old XP system I had built for him (several years ago and it was still running!). I picked this up as it was in his price range. I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of 'trialware' on the unit, and once I had completed the install of Windows 7 (no discs included but the software was on the hard drive already) and updated it, the system runs like a champ.
Excerpt: This refurbished HP met my expectations. It is faster than my other older HP and was a good price. Downside is that it seems to be "perking" all the time it is running. I am not accustomed to a noisy computer, but for the price and the newly acquired speed, it was well worth the purchase.
Summary: First impressions when I removed this computer from the box was that it was bigger than I thought in comparison to my old tower, and there were a few cosmetic blemishes. I have never personally hooked up a computer and I easily figured it out and had it up and running in no time. (less than 15 minutes) It is much faster than my old computer (I had Windows XP) and I love the speed and its very user friendly.
