Great buy for the money!

Joe S., Newegg
28 February 2016
  • Summary: Overall for the price its a good deal with some minor issues.
  • Pros: Fast little computer for the money compared to what I had before. Compact design let me save some space on my desk. It even is updateable to windows10 for free which I haven't done yet. A little skeptical still. Good deal..
  • Cons: Didn't have to use the CDROM until a month later which I believe was beyond parts replacement. I needed to load a driver for a wifi antannae and it wouldnt read one disc. I had to purchase a replacement through Newegg. Sucks but what can I do. Another issue was it would reboot when coming out of ...

Solid Basic Computer

Alex J., Newegg
13 February 2016
  • Summary: This is not a modern $800 desktop computer. If you set realistic goals, then you will be satisified.
  • Pros: Although a used machine, it arrived clean and professionally packed. The processor Intel Core 2 Duo received was actually a grade up from posted 2.60 GHz but still within the same series. Don't get excited because even the best old Core 2 Duo can't beat lowest replacement Core I3. The DVD drive i...
  • Cons: Windows 7 experience gave low score limited by basic graphics capability, as expected for a business only PC. Don't push it into gaming and graphics. Disc drives are old style per the era of the machine. As such, drives do make noise while fetching data.

Add-on video card info (@Leonard J)

Armand M., Newegg
20 January 2016
  • Summary: Even with the cons, paying not much more than $100 for a full working multi-core desktop system with Win 7 Pro is a better-than-fair deal in my book!
  • Pros: This computer comes in a low-profile "small form factor" (SFF) case, so it can't handle full-height add-on cards. Instead it needs "low profile" or "low profile ready" cards. The MSI HD 6450 video card I picked up for mine is "low profile ready", which means it comes with a 2nd shorter back brack...
  • Cons: As noted for similar computers, these are "refurbished" only in that they are cleaned up and have the hard drive reformatted and Win 7 Pro installed; a better description would be "off lease". The components seem to be well-used originals (my hard drive was made in 2008!) and mine had 1 out of 4 ...

Great Value for Basic Computer

Anonymous, Newegg
15 January 2016
  • Summary: The refurbisher of the system I received was Metro Business Systems.
  • Pros: - Value. I paid less than $60 for this computer after rebate. The rebate is through Newegg and though I just mailed it off I don't expect any problems with it.
  • Cons: - The optical drive didn't work. -1 Egg.

HP Desktop 1TB HDD 4GB Ram

N/A, Newegg
12 December 2015
  • Summary: Always thought that reconditioned/recertified meant that the product has been made free of defects
  • Pros: Not bad for the price and for what it has including Windows 7 Professional
  • Cons: Looks like it was used yesterday Know it is a recertified but no bother to clean and was still quite banged up

Fair deal

N/A, Newegg
25 November 2015
  • Summary: AMD Radeon HD 6450 works for thirty bucks or less. Gets an hdmi out, a monitor plug on a pigtail for an extra card slot and DVI. The trick is getting the bit of tin off the inside of the case so the graphics card fits properly. Not that one. There's another bit that keeps the card from lining up.
  • Pros: Upgrades to Win 10 Good speed for less than the latest. Pretty snappy, but that my be helped by the OS and virgin registry. Plenty of USB outs for peripherals, which it will need. Speaker and Mic outs on front. Sturdy. Designed to lay down and park Monitor on.
  • Cons: Needs a graphics card to do anything more than office work. The Intel chipset won't run Minecraft, Gives a definite "can't get there from here" message. Take some stress off the processor and give it a decent card, if you want to play with it.
