Disappointed, Walmart

  • Summary: When having ATT support plus try to install ATT tool box, after 2 1/2 hours could not get it installed. Called help number for the "Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher" and was told it would cost $99.00 to have a technician look at the problem. So much for the guarantee.....

  • Summary: I bought this refurbished machine from Wal-Mart, thinking at least a company like Wal-Mart would regulate the products they endorse from third parties on their site. My naivete has been corrected. A pirated, counterfeit version of Windows that prevents you from fixing anything, installing anything or using software / hardware... the DVD drive is completely sealed shut and the drive just keeps banging against it trying to open.

  • Summary: Just received this computer yesterday. Went to install antivirus and found it was already infected with "Locker" which I am told is a nasty virus which prevents installation of anti-virus software. Hopefully U.S. Micro will make it right.

  • Summary: Was not clear what was to be done to put activation code in and did not prompted for us to put in when started and technical support was very confused as to what we were talking about! But we ran back up repair and it brought up prompt for activation code. Key board had keys that did not work we had to use our old one. Computer runs loud and wines like it is going to blow up. This was a bad buy!!

  • Summary: The hard drive was very noisy from the minute I plugged it in. This item should never have made it out of the shop. Requested a return after 2 days. I did order another refurbished unit and am happy to say the new one is up and running nicely. Why would I recommended it to a friend?? I just happened to get a bad one. I had no problem returning it at the store when I picked up the new one. I have also had good luck with a previous refurbished unit.

Not happy

  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Two machines ordered, came DOA. Had to jump through the hoops to get RMAs issued and then shipping labels. Not worth the effort.

  • Summary: This computer only worked for only 10 months. One day it just stopped connecting to the internet. I called the company and she said "the computer is under warranty for only 60 days" and quickly advised me to take it to a local repair shop. Not good.....

  • Summary: I purchased this for my teenage daughter, who wanted a computer . When it came we hooked it up and the monitor had yellow and green horizontal lines running across the screen. There was a dark circle in the center of the monitor that blocked what was on the screen. The ESC key on the keyboard was upside down. The CPU unit took a long time to turn on. Overall it was a total dissappointment for my daughter and I. I will never buy another refurbished computer again.

  • Summary: Very poor job on refurbishing. Was supposed to come with windows 7 installed with instructions for product registration. No instructions were supplied. So I have no windows product key.
