Excerpt: Computer has 4gb of memory and I believe is expandable to 8 which is good, but...it has Windows 7 Pro 32bit! Why would you have a 32bit operating system on a computer capable of of more memory but with a operating system only capable of using 3.5gb of ram?
Summary: I have been looking for a testbox for a Linux install and this fit the bill perfectly. The only glitch was on the first boot up there was an error with the memory turns out the module was installed in wrong slot switched that out and works perfectly now running Mint 17 and loving it.
Summary: My wife has been happily using one of these for years, with no complaints. Her daughter got one at the same time, and sold it to me as she was happier with a tablet. I'll be setting up the new one as a dedicated torrenting machine, and the other as a TV box for running Plex and emulators. Very pleased with these systems.
Summary: my other HP desktop that was bought brand new went out after a year. I decided I was not going top buy new again and took a chance buying this one. I figured for the price it was worth the risk. So far it has been working great. It is fast and for surfing the web etc its all I need. Only trouble I had was it has no sd card slot and it didn't install correct driver for card reader. After I connected my digital camera I was able to make it work.
Summary: In the system info, I was dismayed to find total-physical-drive size to be below 140GB. (This is the drive-size, BEFORE any data or files are added.) The win 7 and AV software included will occupy another 20-21GB...so expect about 40GB on drive 'C' and 70GB on the other partition. The IR-Mouse arrived 'Cracked', no response to an email I sent about this. Performance is good, but don't expect miracles for the price. Overall, 'Middle of the road' system.
Summary: First, you have to remember these are refurbished units, which means they are USED. I normally build my computers, but needed a cheap computer for my kids to use for school. The software on this is a genuine copy of win 7 pro, it hasn't been activated yet, you will have to activate it via the internet or phone. Until you do this, it will warn you about not being genuine. I also recommend popping the top off this thing, just to make sure nothing has come loose.
Summary: I'm very happy with my DC7900 computer. It has great performance (the Windows Experience ratings were higher than expected), and the only problem I've had was easily resolved by installing an updated video driver. It runs fast, runs cool and runs quiet.. a great product at a great price!
