Summary: We bought a refurbished desk top tower and our computer guy tried to transfer from our old tower and he found that the hard drive was trashed!!! We took it back to Walmart and bought a brand new one. We could have saved a lot of time and a lot of trouble if we had just bought a new one. I must say that Walmart was wonderful when I returned the bad one. Walmart is always great with returns. I will always shop at Walmart.
Summary: I took refurbished computer to a diagnostic computer shop where they checked the computer completely out, transferred my existing logs and files and opened programs on this windows seven computer. I am not puter savvy, so I would recommend this to anyone buying a refurbished computer and changing to a different window as I did (from XP) The new HP Desktop is everything advertized plus. About twice as fast!! I love it. Thanks Walmart for havubg a program such as this.
Excerpt: This computer came with the CD wedged behind the faceplate. I took it into my store. The tech could not open it. All the screws were threaded. He was gracious enough to return it and find a new computer that was only slightly higher in price. Just go into the store and ask at the easy tech what your budget is and if they can find the right computer for you.
Summary: I did not set up the computer until after the 15 day warranty period - my fault. When I did, the hard drive was faulty and would not boot, therefore I could not usr the hard drive or the installed Windows 7 OS.
