I love this thing

Forrest G. Evans "fge00", Amazon
30 March 2015
  • Summary: bought one about four years ago. I think it came with windows xp but I've had numerous operating systems on it and it just keeps going. It's quiet, fast and dependable. I even stream movies to tv on it. I love this thing.

Works well

Scott, Staples
20 November 2014
  • Excerpt: This unit was fairly simple to setup. Overall performance of PC has been good. We use it at a auto repair shop. Simple manger software and limited web browsing. I was surprised to learn has a front mounted speaker that is loud enough and do not need separate speakers.

Functional

Rand R., Newegg
29 September 2014
  • Pros: The unit comes with 4 sata ports and supports multiple drives. It accepts more RAM easily. I use it to backup two file servers remotely and it functions fine. It would be a lousy game box, but for file copy and save routines, it's more than adequate. It is currently supporting 6TB of storage with...
  • Cons: None, for the purpose I use it for.

Smooth transaction

Brandon W., Newegg
17 September 2014
  • Pros: Came stocked with 4 RAM slots for DDR3 allowing you to upgrade to 4gig of RAM max (system can only handle 4gig even though you can put 4 x 2gig strip of RAM in it making it 8gig) , on-board video card & a dual core processor. Installing Window 7 product key was smooth & simple with no problem det...
  • Cons: 365 watt power supply so you'll want to upgrade to 550+ before you put a good video card in there. Otherwise it'll just flash two red light in front of the tower where the power button is letting you know not enough power to run it. Direct 9 video card you might get away with it.

HP Compaq 7600

Lorin M., Newegg
31 August 2014
  • Pros: It comes with Windows 7 Pro and the price of the unit is what you pay for the operating system, do the math. It is slow by todays standards but a reliable machine as a second spare or standby computer. I added 2 GB of PC5300 ram and a GT550ti video card and it streams movies in HDMI to tv quite w...
  • Cons: Would not use as a main computer unless on a low budget.

To Many Issues!

Clinton M., Newegg
4 May 2014
  • Summary: Unless you have the time and maybe looking to build off of something like this then do not waste your time!! Also, I was unable to get a refund "NE" would not consider refunding me for the purchase even though I have owned it for less than the 30days warranted.
  • Pros: It runs MS Windows 7 Professional
  • Cons: I would NOT recommend this desktop. When I received it, neither of the disk drives worked. That was one issue. The second was I had to do a system restore on it the second day I owned it. After finally being able to get to the desktop the lag time was ridiculous, this is after I installed 3gbs mo...
