Summary: I was completely new to PC's and after doing a week of research and an extra $180 i was able to turn this into a nice gaming PC. Anyone who is either new to PC's or is looking to have an easy time upgrading a cheap PC this is the one for you.
Pros: -It works well for browsing the internet and a few small games -Very easy to upgrade for gaming, i added 8 Gb of RAM and an EVGA Geforce GTX 750ti (because of the low power consumption) and it runs Skyrim on ultra with ease.
Cons: -Mouse and Keyboard are usable but not very good.
Summary: Highly recommend this computer. You won't be disappointed. Handles Win10 perfectly and has a large 1 TB Hitachi hard drive. I would (and I do) use an external USB drive to store C Drive images using Acronis or Aomei Backupper (free version) for easy restoration of the OS.
Pros: This Quad core refurbished is a solid computer. Runs cool, easy to upgrade (if you want to). Has a large 1 TB hard drive (with room a second one if tucked under the DVD burner). Easy to add RAM, but be careful that you follow HP's requirements on size (check the service manual online for RAM slot...
Cons: Came with 4 GB of RAM, which fails to utilize the abilities of a 64 bit operating system, so I upgraded by adding 4 GB more. I also added an Asus 1 GB Radeon video card (not really a negative but I wanted to boost the overall system performance).
Summary: Very happy with purchase and fills my needs perfectly and recommend for any one who does not need a horse power machine as it is circa 2009
Pros: Bought this to be able to run a server and be able to remote desktop into it. I have a home weather station and other programs that I wanted to run 24-7 and be reliable. I added more memory and I could not ask for more as it has been running for 3 weeks solid. I had all of the programs running on...
Cons: It came with windows image and it had to download a HUGE amount of Microsoft updates but once all done has been running flawless
Summary: I am hoping that Michael R. will let us know how the EVGA GT210 1GB video card is working out. The specs I found on that card said it required a minimum of a 300w power supply and this computer only has a 240w supply. I would buy this card if he isn't having any problems with it being under powered.
Summary: Great value for the money and by reusing equipment , environmental concerns are lessened.
Pros: Runs well, very quick and responsive. Large size hard drive. Windows 10 installed the day after I put it to use. ( I did force Windows 7 updates, in order to get it upgraded.) The computer appeared to be in perfectly new condition. No scratches, dents,or blemishes I could find. Installed a Nvidia...
Cons: None I can think of. I knew I was buying an older computer but my needs are limited anyway.
