Great on a budget. Tech savvy needed to do it right...

Summary: In short, I wanted to get my kids a Windows 8 touchscreen on the cheap. However, that doesn't exist yet so I figured I would get this with Windows 7 and do the 14.99 upgrade special Microsoft was doing on new PC's. Well, this model didn't qualify initially, but after a phone call to Microsoft, they went ahead and authorized it and voila, Windows 8. Problem... the Windows 8 upgrade process went terrible.
Summary: When you buy an all-in-one you should understand that you are trading convenience for performance. You shouldn't be buying one of these units if you are doing massive Paint Shop Pro projects with a half dozen layers that require tons of RAM, or playing games that require a video card that laughs at high frame rates, etc. This isn't what you need. Buy a solid desktop, one that you can personally configure if you have the skill.
Summary: This thing is awesome. It is a great computer with a good processor and lots of memory and hard drive space. However, the quality of the picture on the monitor isn't quite as good as many other HD monitors. I bought this model because the newer models have eliminated the VESA mounting capability; this was essential to me because I wanted to mount this to a wall at a desk in my kitchen.
NO HDMI port! Are you kidding me? Terrible customer support service.

Summary: To be brief, I barely ever used the touch screen on this computer so a regular desktop would have worked just as well, but others might use the touch screen more than I. But my main gripes about this computer are the following: 1.) There is only 1 HDMI input and you can't use it because the computer's LCD is already connected to the port via HDMI! There is also a sticker indicating you cannot disconnect the HDMI cord for the LCD that's already connected to the port.
Summary: bought this item via FROM AMAZON, not the seller listed here. the touchscreen is fantastic for our non-verbal special needs daughter for "cause and effect" type computer games (although programs that ACTUALLY work w/ Windows 7 out-of-the-box are currently hard to find; seems most "Windows 7 Compatible" games have to be updated via internet); relatively easy to set mouse/screen for single click (vs double) and put mouse and keyboard away for possible future use.
Summary: Mine lasted a whole two months. Had to hold power button down to force shutdown due to Nero software locking up the computer. System would not power back up after that. I lost $600 bucks on this deal and that's a lot of money to lose, especially on a Gateway computer. You can get a much better computer for the price. I wouldn't buy another and would leave this one alone.
Summary: I really love the design, speaker quality and high-resolution picture quality of this computer. I'm extremely satisfied with this buy. I wanted an all-in-one computer so commuting with it from home to college would be simple. I didn't want a laptop because I figured this would last longer and have more memory. Getting this computer around is really easy. The only gripe I have with the computer is that it doesn't really have enough RAM.
Summary: Bought this gateway one zx from best buy, had issues right off the bat with programs not working. Exchanged it the next day for another one. This one has had problems from the beginning with the mouse jumping around the screen and clicking things. Called support and got no help whatsoever, told us to reinstall operating system. Did this and still had problems. They gave us the runaround until the support expired and now we can't get any support without paying for it.
Summary: This is just some of what the future holds. I absolutely love the touchscreen on my Gateway AIO. The computer itself is fast and Windows 7 is awesome (thanks MS). By far my favorite feature is the touchscreen. I am constantly using it. It's great for all sorts of things like resizing documents, reorienting and resizing photos, and just general web browsing. It's just awesome.
