The Gateway One ZX4800 all-in-one PC is set to leverage on the touch capabilities of Windows 7 and multi-touch, to provide consumers a new way to interact with their digital data. Featuring touch screen experience, the PC supports multi-touch technology that gives users more gesture combinations than single touch screens; which results in a more accurate way to interface with the PC. With multi-touch, users can touch icons on the PC’s screen with just one or two fingertips to launch applications, movies, music, zoom in and out on photos and websites, resize windows and handwrite notes. The PC also features Gateway TouchPortal, an intuitive interface that lies on the top of Windows 7, which serves as the starting point for managing a suite of Gateway one-touch “gadgets” and Microsoft touch applications. Gateway’s TouchGadgets provide quick access to music, videos, photos, social media networks and more, and include: TouchMusic that lets users create and move music, albums and playlists between multiple devices and applications to enjoy music when and where consumers want it; TouchPhoto which lets them view, enjoy and share digital photos simply; TouchMediaShare that lets them enjoy and share digital media such as video, create slideshows and easily store, share and upload it with a single touch; TouchFriends that allows users to make social networks easier to access and more intimate with one-touch access to Facebook and Flikr and TouchMemo which is a notepad that lets customers jot down quick notes for themselves and others and leave on the “desktop” as a reminder. The TouchPortal also includes several third party applications optimized for Windows 7 multi-touch, including: Cyberlink YouCam 3.0 that lets them enhance web chats; add flames to the background, put on funny hats, or change oneself into an Avatar; WildTangent games which is a suite of games that are operated by touch; WIN 7 Touch Pack which is a set of six multi-touch optimized casual games and applications. Games include: Microsoft Blackboard, Microsoft Garden Pond and Microsoft Rebound. Applications in the PC include: Microsoft Surface Globe for browsing the world and zoom in on any location on a virtual 3D earth; Microsoft Painter which is a touch-based drawing tool; Microsoft Surface Collage which is a touch-enabled background; and Microsoft Surface Lagoon, a touch interactive screensaver.See less
