Summary: This is the second Gateway computer that I have bought and it will be my last. The first one died after a little over a year, motherboard went bad. This one the sound card did the same. Other than that it works but I would not recommend this to anyone.
Summary: The machine worked great for 20 minutes. Then the picture dropped. Having read the reviews, I checked the seating of the video card. That was apparently fine. I tested the monitor and cable and those were fine. The power supply works, all the cards are receiving power but it's not passing any video signal. So Amazon is refunding it. It's a shame - I've been using an earlier generation Gateway FX and was excited to move to a newer model.
Summary: This is not the fault of gateway but when I recieved my PC in the mail the graphics card just didn't work at all which the way the PC is set up is the only way you can hook it up to anything via HDMI etc, you have to reset settings to use a normal monitor (Which I also believe is through the refurbish-er) So I cannot blame the make or model of this PC for the graphic card being faulty, I got it replaced with one from best buy, it runs like a dream, fast as I need it to...
Summary: I have had the computer for about 3 weeks. So far, it seems to run well. However, support from GATEWAY has been very poor, at best. They advertize that the computer features two easy-swap HDD bays which can hold up to three sata hard drives. This could give you up to 6tb extra drive space. I use several hard drives and I thought this was a great feature.
