Summary: I'm amazed and overjoyed that I received this computer several days after I ordered it. Sadly, we got off to a rocky start. I couldn't get the printer working for several anxious days. Finally, I found a microsoft patch for the printer drivers. I also have a minor issue with an error message that pops up every time I start up; I'm confident I'll have this problem resolved soon.
Summary: I've only had this computer about 3 weeks but it is everything I needed it to be except for one issue. I couldn't expand in the back to add my wireless card. Connecting to the internet with a cat 5 cable is okay but it has it's draw backs. Other than that I had no problems installing old software and getting my backups restored. It's also cool and fast for gaming.
Good system but you must download proper software drivers.

Summary: I was initially disappointed when I could not connect to the internet. I spent nearly two days trying different settings and browsing the internet for possible solutions using another computer. The Gateway website has updated network drivers that DO NOT WORK either so that was a source of frustration. The internet driver from Gateway caused the system to drop the connection every few minutes. Finally I came across the correct network driver on the Intel website.
Summary: I specifically bought this computer for gaming. Less than six months later, the cheap hard drive died so I brought it in for repairs (after losing important files in the meantime). Then, two WEEKS later, the computer died again. I brought it back in, to found out the manufacturer had put in an inferior and underpowered power supply. The wireless networking drops about every thirty seconds or so as well. I will NEVER EVER buy a computer from Gateway (to hell) again.
