Worked well when I bought it but by itself ages poorly.

Summary: I bought this 2.5 years ago, and have since added 3gb of ram and a sound card. Both those upgrades were easy and the 3gb of ram added a ton to the speed of the computer. However, I have been having huge problems with vista and the graphics card is starting to show its age. Soon I will also be upgrading to a modern graphics card and win7. The i7 920 is still holding up well. It is overheated a few times when I play graphics and processor intense games (Mainly Crysis).
Pros: Easily upgradable, Large HDD, i7
Cons: VISTA, only 3gb ram, Graphics card ahs not aged well, ventilation could be better.
Summary: This is my 2nd Gateway. Liked the 1st, so on to the 2nd. Wanted a desktop which could be more than I needed: more RAM, more storage (750g)etc. Only one drawback: the tower top opening for camera cards & USB & sister drawer on front of desktop face would not open initially. When I finally got them to miraculously open...they do not want to latch. So, I leave them open.
Summary: bought this comp a little over a month ago.worked great out of the box, expanded the ram to 6 gigs right away, graphics are awesome with the hd4870 card, only real problem i have is with the dvd drive likes to open and close by itself sometimes ,,,gateway is on the case sending me a new drive to swap out.this is a great comp and not much need for expansion, but we will see lol
Summary: Computer is really fast. Ran Crysis and FarCry2 at max detail on with no problems. Crossfire capable. Power Suppy at 450W is weak for Crossfire setup. Easy to add additional drives, they just plug right in. Comes with 8 USB ports. Upgraded the memory from 3 to 9gig. 3 channel memory is really fast. Really glad I bought it....
