Summary: I have had this computer for over 4 years. It's been used for Graphic design and gaming and it performs very nicely! I have had Fireworks, Photoshop and Dreamweaver running simultaneously and no problems!
Summary: I chose this Gateway because I had a Gateway laptop for 5 years that worked very well. This pc, however, with all of the latest power and speed applications, is very slow and "clunky" I have added RAM to max it out and tweaked it to the best of my knowledge, it still remains slow to respond. I will go back to Dell desktops in the future.
Summary: My new computer locked up on numerous occasions over a three day period. The desktop icons would dissapear leaving a blank desktop with no way to operate or shut down other then powering off. Also at times, the icons were present but not operational. They could not be moved or activated. In disgust, I exchanged for another DX432009 and now have the same problem. The icons dissapear and I can not access or shut down in the normal way.
Summary: i have a cpu fan going out,computer is about 6 months old,the terrible customer support wanted me to send the computer in to fix a cpu fan,i told them i could install it myself.they told me i couldnt do that.i'll buy one myself and install it,not this cheap junk they used either.wont never but a gateway again.used to be a good computer until acer bought them out.
Summary: I purchased this computer in January of 2011 and have had nothing but problems with it. I originally contacted Gateway and they insisted it was not the computer but rather the operating system. So I contacted Windows and after multiple phone calls and several hours of trying to find a solution, we opted to completely scrub the hard drive and start from scratch. Microsoft sent me replacement discs for Windows 7 and the computer is still not operating.
Summary: This computer has had problem after problem. The biggest problem is the useless warranty. Gateway requires you to send the computer to Texas at your own expense to get a warranty repair. And then they send it back without fixing it. Being technically oriented, I managed to fix the first two problems, faulty USB ports (loose internal connector) and a BIOS issue (there was debris under the battery).
Summary: Please bear in mind that this is my very first review on amazon and that i know very little about computers. With that said, i was very pleased with this bad boy! I bought this computer on Cyber Monday, after reading less than stellar reviews for it. After looking at the specs and the price i decided to take my chances and ordered it. I was very excited because i was finally able to replace my 5 year old hp computer.
Summary: I bought this computer not once, but twice. I return the first computer as it failed to boot up right out of the box. I returned it for an identical model thinking the first one I purchased was the exception. The second had a bad CMOS battery right out of the box and within two days it became impossible to even turn the computer on. Probably worse than my experience with the two computers was my experience with Gateway's customer service.
Summary: Item arrived on time, and in perfect condition. Very happy with the product performance!!! Very nice looking too!! I waited a long time to decide, and feel I made the right choice. Adding comment, we were so pleased with the product, we purchased another one for my daughter. It arrived on time and in perfect condition.
