Excerpt: I purchased this from Walmart for $250.00. It is a great PC but it's a little bit out of date now. I did recently upgrade the AMD Processor and it ran much smoother. But now it's really time to let it go. It's great for movie watching, music listening, all the basic stuff. Without upgrades it ran HD Movies perfectly fine. I upgraded to a Blu-Ray Drive and believe me when I say movies ran excellent on it. I have it currently connected to a 32 Inch HDTV.
Summary: We purchased this computer and I loved it for about 6 weeks and then the hard drive went bad and it had to be sent to Texas for repair--at our expense, of course. Since then it just does not always work well, just little things, but annoying. I've always heard you get what you pay for and that is my opinion with this computer.
Summary: I at first like the computer very well, until the internet connection to the computer failed to work. I just had the computer for exactly two months when it quit working, I called emachine company to see if the warranty cover this problem. I was first told the computer was cover by the warranty and they email me back wanting me to download things to the computer to try to get it to work.
Summary: Directions for connections were easily understood, even for a novice like me. One just has to learn the new format of the pc and then it all falls into place. I would readily buy one like this again. The price was surely right for the product.
Summary: This is a great computer, very fast, plenty of storage, easy to set up and use. A transfer cable makes moving your files, music, movies, pics very easy, still have to download your programs. The price is hard to beat anywhere.
Summary: Recently I purchased this computer as it seemed a great buy. I have had several computers from different manufactuers and decided to try out Emachines. When I installed all hardware and turned on power I had no signal going to monitor. I tried several different monitors and cables but could not resolve the issue. I called tech support and went through same motions as I had just completed to no avail I did this at least five additional times with the rep.
Summary: 750 gigabytes of space is a lot, well because the motherboard has 4 SATA ports I can still add more SATA hard drives I add 2 more, one 160 and one 500 GB, works well, also the 6gb ddr2 ram is a good deal. This usually for home and media use, because it includes a card reader, also support micro-SD if you don't have adapters. Windows 7 64 bit is sweet. If you want to buy this for gaming, you have to buy better graphics card, as I did.
Summary: This was delivered very quickly. I hooked it all up and with great anticipation I turned the computer on and...What the? Where's Windows 7? There was no OS on the computer! I suppose if you are into Linux that would be a blessing but I'm not a do-it-yourselfer so I packed it up and took it to the local Wal-Mart and returned it for a new laptop with minimal hassle. This still seems like a great deal and I may actually get the courage up to order this again. Ubuntu anyone?
Summary: An exceptional deal for the price, this computer is both fast and fairly stable--ran beautifully straight out of the box, was easy to update with my old information--my only complaint so far is the bright green LED stripes on the face, and I fixed those with a couple of strips of electrical tape.
