Summary: We purchased this computer and I loved it for about 6 weeks and then the hard drive went bad and it had to be sent to Texas for repair--at our expense, of course. Since then it just does not always work well, just little things, but annoying. I've always heard you get what you pay for and that is my opinion with this computer.
Summary: I at first like the computer very well, until the internet connection to the computer failed to work. I just had the computer for exactly two months when it quit working, I called emachine company to see if the warranty cover this problem. I was first told the computer was cover by the warranty and they email me back wanting me to download things to the computer to try to get it to work.
Summary: Directions for connections were easily understood, even for a novice like me. One just has to learn the new format of the pc and then it all falls into place. I would readily buy one like this again. The price was surely right for the product.
Summary: The computer that I got in the mail did not work I exchanged the computer at the local walmart . This computer that I am now using is the new exchange. It works great. It rates an overall 5 star and I recommend this computer. It comes with a great hard drive, 4 gig RAM and Windows 7. Windows 7 isn't too tough to learn even for a senior shopper. That was the first time I got something in the mail from Walmart that didn't work. BUY THIS ONE!
Summary: this computer came ready out of the box, started right up with no problems. its got a huge hard drive space, 4gb memory can handle most apps i have up, im a graphics designer and it works great with adobe's creative suite 4. i had up photoshop and illustrator with indesign in the background, while listening to music and have aim running at the same time, no signs of lag with the apps, didnt freeze and save my projects fast.
Summary: I shopped around for a desktop computer vs laptop and found the E-Machine to be a great value for the price. I'm impressed with the speed 4 GB and 750 GB storage space for around $400 when everything else was 3 GB or 2 GB for $300 - $200 more. This is smaller then my Dell, and fits nicely on our desk area. Well worth the money invested. Great home computer.
Summary: This is a great computer, very fast, plenty of storage, easy to set up and use. A transfer cable makes moving your files, music, movies, pics very easy, still have to download your programs. The price is hard to beat anywhere.
Summary: Recently I purchased this computer as it seemed a great buy. I have had several computers from different manufactuers and decided to try out Emachines. When I installed all hardware and turned on power I had no signal going to monitor. I tried several different monitors and cables but could not resolve the issue. I called tech support and went through same motions as I had just completed to no avail I did this at least five additional times with the rep.
Summary: 750 gigabytes of space is a lot, well because the motherboard has 4 SATA ports I can still add more SATA hard drives I add 2 more, one 160 and one 500 GB, works well, also the 6gb ddr2 ram is a good deal. This usually for home and media use, because it includes a card reader, also support micro-SD if you don't have adapters. Windows 7 64 bit is sweet. If you want to buy this for gaming, you have to buy better graphics card, as I did.
